Transfer Credit and Accreditation
Harvard Extension School is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. Extension School courses are approved each year by Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and count toward the Harvard degrees of Associate in Arts in Extension Studies (not accepting new students), Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies, and Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies.
Harvard Extension School courses are accepted toward degrees at most colleges and universities. Because transfer policies and degree requirements vary among schools, students should confirm their home or prospective schools’ policy about transfer credit before enrolling in courses.
