Jonathan Levene is a leadership coach and facilitator at Harvard Business School with more than 15 years of experience leading teams in product development organizations at small and midsize technology firms. Through coaching, facilitation, and training, he helps technical executives and their high-potential reports to develop the interpersonal and team leadership skills to unleash their creativity, maximize innovation, and achieve outstanding business results.
At Harvard Business School, Jonathan coaches and facilitates in executive education programs on effective communication, influence and negotiation, interpersonal awareness, managing and developing teams, managing change, strategic management, and creating vision. He also serves in Babson College’s coaching for leadership and teamwork program, and runs career development programs through the MIT Career Development Office.
Jonathan’s corporate experience includes prior roles in engineering, product management, sales, marketing, and business development, as well as entrepreneurship. He developed an enterprise healthcare solution and is licensing it to several multibillion-dollar customers. Past clients include executives and teams at Accenture, Amazon.com, Citibank, Colgate-Palmolive, Nokia, and PwC.
His areas of specialty include innovation and creativity; managing conflict effectively; aligning teams through vision, culture, and motivation; influencing peers and senior leadership interpersonally; managing change and shifting mindsets; retaining key technical talent; and transitioning from technical contributor to technical management to leadership.
Jonathan holds bachelor of science and master of engineering degrees in computer science and engineering from MIT and a master of business administration with a concentration in high-tech marketing from Babson College. He is an associate certified coach from International Coach Federation (ICF) and holds a graduate certificate in executive coaching from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, as well as Hogan assessment certification, Korn/Ferry leadership architect (VOICES 360) certification, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certification, and DISC assessment certification.
