Thinking about the next academic year at Harvard Extension? New academic offerings for 2019–20 are now available. We’re proud to announce over 900 courses, new topics for graduate study, and new pathways to admission.
Courses for 2019–20
You can now browse our catalog of 900-plus courses, offered in 15-week fall or spring terms or in a 3-week January term. Registration for degree candidates opens on July 25. General registration opens July 29.
New Master’s Degree Program
This year, we’re introducing a new graduate field in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. This graduate degree program is ideal for those who want to focus on the business applications of psychology to create a healthier, more productive workplace. You will gain expertise in organizational behavior and industrial psychology, as well as motivation, management, and psychological theory.
Four New Graduate Certificates
Graduate certificates at Harvard Extension allow you to earn a specialized credential in less time than it takes to earn a master’s. Many certificates stack toward our degree programs. Beginning this fall, we’re offering four new certificates.
Data Analytics Certificate
Take your analytical skills to the next level. Business analysts, marketers, and data-driven professionals will learn to derive new insights and solve problems through a range of tools and technology. Learn programming skills, data visualization, and statistical analyses to address real-world challenges.
Digital Storytelling Certificate
This graduate-level certificate gives writers, journalists, marketers, museum professionals, and more the skills to create dynamic, innovative stories for the web. Learn journalism trends and fundamentals, and develop the technical skills to bring stories to life.
Project Management Certificate
Professionals in a wide range of industries learn how to successfully manage projects, from initiation to closing. Explore the project management lifecycle, build leadership and communication skills, and prepare for successful implementation and presentation. The curriculum aligns with the Project Management Institute’s talent triangle.
Sustainable Food Systems Certificate
Researchers, analysts, and government and civic officials can hone in on eco-agricultural issues of natural resource protection, sustainable food production, food security, and more. Learn methods of improving food sustainability in rural and urban areas, through both private and public initiatives. The curriculum aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
To provide students with credentials that are relevant and current in their field, we’ve updated some of our graduate certificates to reflect industry trends and standards. The following certificates have been revised accordingly:
- Green Building and Sustainable Communities Certificate is now Sustainable Cities and Communities Certificate
- Marketing Management is now Marketing Management and Digital Strategy Certificate
New Pathways for Data Science, Finance, and Information Management Systems Degrees
