How HILR is Operating During the Pandemic
Due to the public health emergency, since March 10, 2019 HILR has been operating remotely, with classes and other activities conducted exclusively via Zoom, and all staff working from home. The 34 Concord Ave. campus is closed until further notice. HILR’s Spring 2021 semester will be entirely remote, as is HILR’s Fall 2020 semester.
However, the pivot to online is temporary; we look forward to returning to in-person classes on our Cambridge campus when conditions allow. HILR’s program model has not changed. Since that depends on longer term commitments to the program, we are unable to consider applications from anyone only able to enroll in HILR while its classes are meeting online.
Activities and Events
HILR's Fridays @HILR speaker series continues during the remote semesters, in webinar format.
A number of participant-driven extracurricular activities continue, via Zoom, while HILR is operating remotely.
No HILR concerts are scheduled for 2021-21.
In-person public lectures on the larger Harvard campus are currently suspended. HILR Participants are able to enjoy many of the virtual speaker events taking their place in 2021-21.
