Sarah Erb Kleiman, PhD

Sarah (Erb) Kleiman is a clinical psychologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Dr. Kleiman received her PhD in 2014 from George Mason University. She was a Research Psychologist at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center for over four years. During this time, she worked on longitudinal studies and clinical trials of veterans and civilians with PTSD at the National Center for PTSD (Behavioral Sciences Division) and provided group and individual therapy to patients in the PTSD Clinic. Dr. Kleiman currently provides research consultation services to a variety of VA hospitals, university research groups, non-profit organizations, and pharmaceutical companies. Her area of expertise is in providing training to clinical trial raters administering the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5). Dr. Kleiman has co-authored numerous book chapters and empirical articles in research journals. She has taught courses at Harvard since 2014.
