Judah L. Schwartz, PhD
Professor Judah Schwartz has been writing educational software for more than thirty years. For several decades, he taught physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and taught and did research on mathematics and science education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His current research interests center on the design of software environments to help teachers think more deeply about aspects of mathematics that they know and are expected to teach and that their students are expected to learn. His teaching philosophy is that the essence of teaching is posing a provocative and engaging next question at the proper moment; the essence of mathematics is making, exploring, proving, and disproving conjectures.
