David Mark LaPorte, MS

Director of Information Technology Infrastructure Strategy, Harvard University Information Technology

David LaPorte is the director of information technology infrastructure strategy within Harvard University Information Technology. LaPorte has more than twenty years of industry experience in senior-level technical and leadership roles in the areas of networking, systems, and security operations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He received an MS degree in information assurance from the Northeastern University College of Computer Science and holds industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Over the past fourteen years, LaPorte has served as a teaching fellow for various networking and security courses at the Harvard Extension School. Through 2014, LaPorte taught computer systems security in the information assurance graduate program at Northeastern University.
