Christina Thompson, PhD

Christina Thompson is the editor of Harvard Review and the author of Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia (Harper), which won the 2019 New South Wales (NSW) Premier's General History Prize and was shortlisted for the Maritime Foundation's Mountbatten Award for Best Book. She is also the author of a memoir, Come on Shore and We Will Kill and Eat You All (Bloomsbury), which was shortlisted for the 2009 NSW Premier's Prize and  the 2010 Douglas Stewart Prize for International Writing. The recipient of a public scholar award from the National Endowment for the Humanities, she has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Australia Council. She teaches at Harvard Extension School, where she was awarded the James E. Conway Excellence in Teaching Writing Award in 2008.
