The Extension School provides many avenues for pursuing studies in the natural sciences, whether your interest lies in biology, physics, chemistry, biotechnology, healthcare, or the environment. Through our courses and programs, you can learn from industry experts and Harvard University scientists, researchers, and medical school faculty. You will have access to state-of-the-art labs and cutting-edge research projects.

- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in sciences, environmental studies, or the history of science
- Master’s degree in the liberal arts with a concentration in biology
- Master’s degree in biotechnology
- Master’s degree in sustainability and environmental management
Health Careers Program
The Health Careers Program provides an opportunity to complete the one year of introductory science courses required for application to medical, dental, and veterinary school. Advanced elective courses are also available if you already have a science background but wish to enhance your credentials.
Citations
If you would like to pursue concentrated study in a scientific area independent of a program, you can earn an undergraduate or graduate citation for the acquired knowledge or competency.
