A student’s perspective
Harvard Extension School—a national leader in continuing education—offers numerous opportunities for professionals to remain competitive in their fields. Your employees can update skills or pursue specialized training that results in significant contributions to your organization.
Most of our students study part time in the evening while continuing to work full time. We offer:
Our 650-plus evening and online classes cover such fields as environmental management, biotechnology, information technology, and business. Our faculty includes scholars from Harvard and Boston-area universities. They teach courses that encourage deep exploration and practical application. In fact, many students take lessons from class and apply them to the job the next day.
You can use our course search or browse our subjects by field.
Interested in short, noncredit courses? See professional development programs offered by the Division of Continuing Education.
We also offer graduate certificates after completion of 5 courses in select areas, such as strategic management, web technologies, or nanotechnology. See Professional Certificates.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree, we offer master’s degrees in liberal arts and professional fields. Because our programs are designed for working adults, your employees can continue to work while completing a program in about three to five years.
