You can earn the management degree through a combination of online and on-campus courses, but the degree is not offered entirely online, as studying on the Harvard campus is a valuable aspect of the program.
You connect with Harvard faculty in person, network with fellow students, and use campus resources, including Harvard libraries and career services.
Residency requirement
- To earn the degree, you must take at least 6 courses on campus.
- Some courses are offered both online and on campus. If a course is offered with an online option, it does not meet the residency requirement, even if you attend on campus.
- Depending on availability, on-campus courses can be completed at any time during the program, including at Harvard Summer School, where housing is available. If you are an international student, Summer School is your only option for completing the program, as the Summer School issues I-20s for full-time study. Also see January courses.
Choose online courses
See the degree course search to find online courses that count toward the degree. To learn more about taking courses online, see Distance Education.
Visit the Summer School website to see the summer course offerings. Course listings are updated every January.
