Conducted in Italian, this course is designed for beginners with no knowledge of Italian. The aim of the course is to develop oral expression, listening comprehension, and reading and writing skills. Class time is devoted to group and paired activities, as well as cultural discussions. (4 credits)

This course emphasizes communication strategies to enable students to communicate effectively in an Italian context. Through creative classroom activities and exercises, students learn how Italians interact while discussing ideas, exchanging opinions, and giving advice or information.
