Online classes follow the fall and spring semester schedule, with scheduled assignments and final exams.
These courses are offered both online and on campus and feature lectures videos. The classes meet on campus weekly during the semester. Lectures videos are posted online each week. You can attend lectures in person or watch them online at your convenience, or both.
Some courses are only online. They feature videotaped lectures from Harvard College and Graduate School of Education courses or Extension School courses offered previously. Videos are posted weekly. There is no scheduled class time, so you can watch them at any time during the week. See Online Video Courses for more information about this format.
Some courses are conducted live online using a web-conference program. You participate in the conference at a specified class time. There are no videos. See Web-Conference Courses.
