This course is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics, including correlation and regression, hypothesis testing, estimation, and elementary probability. Students learn to analyze data using PC-based statistical software. No previous knowledge of statistics is assumed. Students cannot count both STAT E-50 and STAT E-102 toward a degree. Prerequisites: high school algebra, or the equivalent, and satisfactory math placement test score.
