HIST E-1601/W Colonial America

This course examines the colonization of North America, focusing on the relationships between Native Americans, Europeans, and Africans in the creation of North American colonial society. We explore trade relations, religious and economic motives for colonial development, imperial conflicts among European powers, and the development of the African slave trade. (4 credits)
