This course focuses on voice and articulation, with special emphais on accent reduction–both second language and regional, oral interpretation (reading aloud), oral presentation skills, and oral expository and persuasive abilities. Topics include correct breathing, projection, inflection and variety, pronunciation, enunciation, vocal emphasis, vocal quality, and use of the International Phonetic Alphabet. (4 credits)
