Undergraduate Degrees

If you want to experience the academic quality of a traditional, four-year research university, yet you need the flexibility of a part-time evening program, Harvard Extension School has on campus and online options to help you balance school and other commitments.

Bachelor of Liberal Arts Program

In our bachelor’s degree program, you can further develop your critical thinking skills, strengthen your communication skills, and explore specialized fields of study and minors for career advancement.

You begin by taking three degree courses before applying to the program. This gives you the opportunity to explore courses and establish your ability to succeed as a Harvard student.

Once you’re admitted, you complete your remaining coursework through a combination of online and on-campus options. You come to the Harvard campus to take at least four courses (16 credits).

Joint Undergraduate/Graduate Management Degree Program

Our joint degree program offers an accelerated path to earning a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and a master's degree in management for students with two years of transfer credits (approximately 64 credits) and a minimum of eight years of full-time, paid, professional work experience.

You begin by submitting a fall application to this selective admission program.

In this small cohort program, you develop deep critical thinking skills and global understanding, a strong foundation in general management, plus expertise in a specialized area such as marketing, nonprofit management, organizational behavior, corporate sustainability, or finance.

In just four years you earn two degrees, plus an optional professional graduate certificate, and build competencies you can leverage in the competitive marketplace.

You combine online and on-campus study, coming to Harvard for three summers (three weeks each visit).
