Thomas Piper is the Lawrence E. Fouraker Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus, at Harvard Business School. A faculty member in the finance and accounting units for 40 years, Piper taught in the MBA program (as well as serving as its chairman and senior associate dean), and in executive education programs such as the Advanced Management Program and the International Senior Management Program. He oversaw two senior executive programs sited in the Middle East and South Africa, and was instrumental in establishing outstanding market-oriented business schools in Central and Eastern Europe and in Africa. Piper also took part in the Businesss School's initiatives on values, leadership, and corporate responsibility. He has been a director of Marriott Corporation, FleetBoston, and GenRad.
