Sherine Jayawickrama is domain manager of the Humanitarian and Development NGO at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University. She is also executive director of the NGO Leaders Forum. She is the lead writer and editor for the organization's blog and writes on topics such as development effectiveness, US aid reform, impact measurement, and NGO advocacy. Jayawickrama worked at CARE USA, a humanitarian organization dedicated to fighting global poverty, for ten years as deputy regional director for Asia, senior policy analyst, and special assistant to the president. Prior to that, Jayawickrama worked on freedom of expression issues at PEN American Center in New York City and on environmental policy issues in Sri Lanka at the Natural Resources and Environmental Policy Project. She grew up in Sri Lanka, and has a BA in economics and international relations from Scripps College, and an MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
