Philip Anthony Vaccaro

Professor of Marketing and Decision Sciences, Salem State University

Philip Vaccaro is a professor in the marketing and decision sciences department of the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University. He is also an operations research consultant in transportation and logistics, serving both industry and government, as well as a graduate-level lecturer at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and Endicott College. His teaching experience is primarily in operations management, operations research, statistics, forecasting, quality control, finance, policy, and strategy.

Previously, he was the assistant controller of Beth Israel Hospital, senior accountant at Price Waterhouse Coopers, developer and coordinator of the Salem State College MBA program, department chair for 12 years, and senior lecturer at Northeastern University for more than 20 years.

Vaccaro received his BSBA and MBA, magna cum laude, from Boston College; his CAGS from Northeastern University, and his PhD from Columbia-Pacific University.

He is also the author of several books, including Simplex Linear Programming for Management Decisions, Fundamentals of Production and Operations Management, and Applied Management Science for Decision-Making.
