M. Myra White is a clinical instructor in the department of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and teaches leadership and strategic talent management in Extension. She has a PhD in psychology from Harvard University, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a MS in electrical and computer engineering from Northwestern University. White has more than 20 years experience consulting to businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and professional firms, and is chief executive officer of Work Intelligence, Inc. Her book, Follow the Yellow Brick Road: A Harvard Psychologist's Guide to Becoming a Superstar, is based on her research on the cognitive strategies and behaviors that make people successful leaders and entrepreneurs. Her current research focuses on developing tools for identifying talent and leadership models for the complex world of the twenty-first century. In 2007, she received the JoAnne Fussa Distinguished Teaching Award.
