James C. Fitchett

Chief Executive Officer, Nature Links, Inc.

James Fitchett is an entrepreneur and consultant. He has more than 25 years of experience with premier and start-up institutions providing leadership, consulting, strategy development and implementation, information technology strategy, operational improvements, process redesign, and change management.

Fitchett served as the first chief information officer for Harvard Medical School, started two successful businesses, and has been a national practice leader and partner for a Big Five consulting firm. He founded Strategic Impact Group, a technology strategy firm that was later acquired by Ernst & Young, LLP. He joined Ernst & Young as a partner and the national leader for knowledge management in health care. He was a founder, vice chairman, and chief technology officer for RecoveryCare Inc., an Internet healthcare company offering patient education and secure patient-provider communications. Fitchett was a founder and for six years served as president and chief executive officer for ProVentive Inc. Recently, Fitchett founded MetriX Health Solutions, a healthcare software and services company. He has been teaching management courses at Harvard Extension School since 1993.
