Frank White is an independent consultant with a special interest in social media and the use of virtual worlds for education and fundraising.

White recently took early retirement from his position as editorial director of communications in the office of alumni affairs and development at Harvard University, where he worked for nearly 15 years. In 2001, he received the Marion L. Anderson Award for his service.

White received a BA in social studies from Harvard College in 1962, and was a Rhodes Scholar, earning an MPhil in politics from Oxford in 1969. White is the author or co-author of six books, ranging in subject matter from space exploration to climate change.

In 2001, White received the JoAnne Fussa Distinguished Teaching Award.
