Internship
The internship is taken pass/fail and requires candidates to spend a minimum of 200 hours working in a museum under the guidance of a local supervisor and the internship coordinator.
Requirements
After you have completed 6 degree courses, including the core courses, complete the internship application form available on the Graduate Program in Museum Studies candidate portal page (accessible once you are in the program).
Understand that most internships take place during regular business hours, so plan your schedule accordingly. You are expected to complete the internship within the time period agreed upon in the internship application.
Registration
You may register throughout the year. To receive credit for an internship in the fall term, register by November 29; to receive credit in the spring term, register by April 25. If you register after the April deadline, you will be registered in the summer term and may pay a higher tuition.
