Online Course Options
You can earn the master’s degree in journalism through a combination of online and on-campus courses.
The degree is not offered entirely online; a particular advantage of the program is being part of the larger Harvard community, studying with Harvard faculty, and using the many campus resources, including Harvard’s renowned libraries.
Choosing online courses
Most journalism courses are only offered on campus. However, JOUR E-100 and JOUR E-110/W, both required courses for the program, have an online option. Other online courses may meet elective requirements. It is therefore possible to complete all 3 preadmission courses online prior to applying to the program.
