Meet the Advisors
The students I advise are a diverse group, hailing from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. They pursue a variety of interests—deep sea biology and sustainable buildings; nanobiotechnology and digital circuit design; classical mathematics and human development. They have one thing in common—they are highly motivated students who want a rigorous program of study. I take great pleasure in advising such a talented population.

Advisor Tips
- Attend an information session.
- Make an appointment with me so I can help you choose your first courses.
- Take advantage of resources such as the Career and Academic Resource Center, Writing Center, and library. See Resources for more.
- Be aware of academic integrity guidelines and registration deadlines, including the withdrawal deadline. If you need to withdraw from a course, don’t just stop attending.
- Become part of the Harvard community. Join the Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) and the Environmental Management Club, and read the Harvard Gazette, dine on campus, and take the University’s virtual tour.
- Don’t delay your admission application. Apply during the semester that you anticipate completing the first three courses required for admission.
