Audition to perform this summer in a pops band, chorus, or orchestra
Various dates in June — The Harvard Summer School offers a number of opportunities for both students and residents of the Greater Boston area to perform as members of the Harvard Summer Pops Band, the Harvard Summer School Chorus, and the Harvard Summer School Orchestra.

Harvard Extension student Commencement activities
May 26 — On June 4, the Harvard Extension School’s 2008–09 graduating class includes more than 600 students from its undergraduate and graduate programs. For graduates who participate in Harvard Commencement activities, there is a range of scheduled events.
Maher, 84; Welch, 66; long-time faculty members
May 14 — The Harvard Extension School has learned of the passing of two notable former faculty members, Brendan Maher and Jonathan Welch.
Harvard monitoring H1N1 influenza “swine flu” situation
Harvard University officials are meeting daily to monitor the emergence of a new strain of influenza (swine flu) and are prepared to implement a detailed plan designed to handle infectious disease outbreaks, should it become necessary to do so.
