Learn English at Harvard
The Institute for English Language (IEL) Programs helps you achieve the proficiency necessary to succeed in a variety of jobs and courses of study. Courses are available at five levels of proficiency. To determine your level of proficiency, you take the Harvard English language placement test before you register. Once you know your test score and level, you can register.
Fall, January, and Spring Courses
English language courses run for 10 weeks in the fall and spring, and four weeks in the January session.
