Elective Courses

The two electives should be courses that augment the principal field of study by introducing an interdisciplinary component or other methodological tools that may assist in the development of the thesis project. One elective must be a writing-intensive course or seminar in any ALM area or field except the field of concentration. Writing-intensive courses are not offered in the Harvard Summer School.

The remaining elective can be taken in any area or field outside the field of concentration that counts toward the ALM. An additional proseminar taken outside the area of concentration counts as an elective.

To find elective courses, use the degree course search.
