Dr. Daniel Shapiro to participate in negotiation forum

The Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) presents the fifth biannual negotiation forum, Emotions in Negotiating Revisited, Friday, December 8, 6 to 9 pm, in Science Center, Hall D. Free and open to the public, the event features Dr. Daniel Shapiro, coauthor with Roger Fisher of Beyond Reason. Additional speakers include: Dr. Harold Langlois, Dr. Matthew Leeds, James Kerwin, and Lydia Cummings.

Shapiro is director of Harvard’s International Negotiation Initiative. Langlois, senior vice president of Advest, Inc., teaches OBHR E-140 Dealing with Change in Organizations and OBHR E-170 The Challenges of Team Management at Harvard Extension School. Leeds, clinical instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School, teaches PSYC E-1060 Emotion at Harvard Extension School. Kerwin is assistant director of the Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School. Cummings is the ombudsman for Harvard University.

After the presentations, there will be a book signing of Beyond Reason followed by refreshments. RSVP to cmulvey@fas.harvard.edu. Fifty hardcover copies of Beyond Reason will be available first-come, first-served, with Harvard ID or registration receipt and photo ID. Paperback copies will be available for purchase.
