Limited-Enrollment Courses

Courses with limited enrollment are so noted in course descriptions. Because many limited-enrollment courses close long before classes begin, students should register online and as early as possible. Use the advanced course search to view up-to-date course enrollments and availability.

Registration for limited-enrollment courses is on a first-come, first-served basis. Students registering for courses with placement tests are admitted in the order in which they register and pass the tests. Students in limited-enrollment courses must attend all class meetings and do all required coursework to keep their seats. Special requests for admission, either from students or instructors, are not honored.

Students placed on waitlists for limited-enrollment courses are charged full tuition. To keep their waitlist places and remain eligible for admission, they must attend all class meetings and do all required coursework until their status is resolved. Placement on a waitlist is no guarantee of admission to a closed course. Waitlisted students should check their status regularly online. Students who are not admitted and do not register for replacement courses are issued full-tuition refunds. Students who do not wish to remain on waitlists for closed courses must withdraw online or in writing.
