Credit Status
Students must specify a credit status for every course in which they register. Not every credit status is available for every course; available credit options are listed with tuitions in the course descriptions. The last day that students may change credit status is October 2 in the fall and February 12 in the spring.
Students who want to receive grades and academic credit in a course must register for undergraduate or graduate credit. Candidates for Extension School degrees, certificates, and diplomas should consult their program websites for information about which courses and which types of credit count toward their programs.
Students who wish to audit a course register for noncredit status and pay the noncredit tuition; not all courses are available for noncredit. Noncredit students do not take final exams or submit final projects or papers, and they are not assigned final grades.
