Harvard Extension School 2005–06

Resources

ID Cards and Privileges

Registered degree, certificate, and diploma candidates receive Extension School photo ID cards. These ID cards provide access to Harvard libraries and other campus resources. The cards also allow students to purchase athletic privileges at the Athletic Department Ticket Office, Murr Center, 65 North Harvard Street, (617) 495-2211 or online (www.athletics.harvard.edu); open Crimson Cash debit accounts (www.cash.harvard.edu); and check listings at the Harvard Real Estate Housing Office, 7 Holyoke Street. ID cards do not provide access to University Health Services or the pharmacy.

Candidates should report lost or stolen ID cards to their program offices. A $20 fee is charged for each replacement. Misusing an ID card, loaning the card to another person, or using another student's card may result in disciplinary action by the Administrative Board.

Harvard Online Library Information System (HOLLIS)

Degree, certificate, and diploma candidates are eligible for access to approximately 3,000 databases and journals available through the electronic resources of the Harvard Online Library Information System (HOLLIS), http://lib.harvard.edu. Access to HOLLIS from a computer outside a Harvard library requires a Harvard University PIN. PINs may be requested online.

The seven- or eight-character Harvard University PIN is different from the six-digit online services registration PIN. Candidates should keep all PINs confidential.

Harvard Extension Student Association

The Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) is the umbrella organization for all student groups at the Extension School. HESA was founded in 2001 with the aim of building a student community and facilitating student-to-student connections through a website and numerous events and activities. All currently enrolled degree, certificate, and diploma candidates are voting members, and many HESA events and activities are open to all Extension School students. For more information, including a calendar of events and links to helpful resources, see the HESA website.
