Harvard Extension School 2005–06

Enrollment

All courses must be taken for graduate credit. The maximum number of courses students may take in one term is four. A student cannot be enrolled as a candidate in more than one degree or certificate program at the same time. Credit is not awarded for any course that duplicates the subject matter of a previous course taken at the Harvard Extension School or Harvard Summer School for which undergraduate or graduate credit has already been received.

Ordinarily, prospective candidates must have a bachelor's degree before taking courses toward a master's degree, but Bachelor of Liberal Arts (ALB) candidates with GPAs of 3.3 or higher who are within 16 units of graduation may petition to complete three graduate-level courses before the bachelor's degree has been earned. They should contact the Undergraduate Office and complete a graduate-level transfer petition form before registering for graduate courses.
