Transportation Services

Harvard University Transportation Services

Harvard University Transportation Services provides free transportation throughout the Cambridge and Allston campuses for Harvard Extension School students and faculty. The services include the shuttle bus, which travels throughout the Cambridge and Allston campuses seven days a week. Schedules are available at the Information Office, Holyoke Center Arcade and online. The evening van service provides door-to-door transportation around the Cambridge and Allston campuses and is designed to transport Harvard community members off the scheduled shuttle bus route (for example, to Porter Square and Central Square). The service operates on a first-call, first-served basis, 7 pm-2:30 am, with the last call answered at 2:30 am. For information, students should call (617) 495-0400 or visit the transportation website. The daytime van service is designed for Harvard community members who, as a result of mobility impairment or medical condition, find it difficult or impossible to use the shuttle bus. Students with mobility impairments should contact the disability services coordinator, (617) 495-0977, for information about the daytime van service.

Motorist Assistance Program

The Motorist Assistance Program provides free on-campus road service for Harvard community members who need help charging a dead battery, changing a tire, or retrieving keys that have been locked inside a car. This service is available weekdays, 7 am-12 midnight. Students should call (617) 496-HELP.

MASCO

The Longwood Medical area shuttle (M2), operated by Medical, Academic, and Scientific Community Organization Inc. (MASCO), connects the Cambridge campus to the Medical School from 7 am-10:30 pm. Tickets or Crimson Cash cards must be purchased in advance at Harvard University's Cash Receipt Desk, Holyoke Center 453, or at various Medical School locations. For more information on tickets and schedules, students should call (617) 632-2800 or visit the MASCO website.
