How to Register
Online registration. Students may register online for Harvard Extension School courses with full credit card payment of their tuition and fees. Online registration is recommended for students who wish to register for limited-enrollment courses. Harvard employees who are eligible for the Harvard Tuition Assistance Plan (TAP) may register online using their TAP benefit. Extension School degree, certificate, and health careers candidates who have been awarded financial aid through the Extension School may register online using their financial aid awards.
Mail-in or drop-off registration. Students who prefer not to register online may download registration forms from this website or pick them up at 51 Brattle Street. (To download PDFs students must have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on their computers.) Forms delivered in person may be brought to the first-floor Information Services lobby at 51 Brattle Street or dropped in the 24-hour registration box inside the gate at that address.
Tuition. Tuition is listed in individual course descriptions. Registration requires full payment of all course tuition and one nonrefundable $50 registration fee each term. A $50 late fee is charged to students who register for the first time in a term during the late registration period.
Change of address and personal information. Students are required to provide the Extension School with their legal name, current mailing address, and date of birth. They are responsible for ensuring that all of their Extension School student information is correct and current. Students may change their mailing and e-mail addresses themselves online. They must submit all other changes, with documentation, on the biographical information changes form, which may be downloaded from this website. (To download PDFs students must have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on their computers.) The form is also available at 51 Brattle Street.
Note: Attending classes, submitting registration forms, and informing instructors of an intent to register do not constitute registering for Extension School courses. Registration is complete only when a student's registration and full payment have been processed online or at the Harvard Extension School. Illegible, incomplete, and unsigned forms, and those not accompanied by acceptable forms of full payment, may not be processed.
