Prerequisite Courses
Before applying for admission to the ALM in Museum Studies, students must complete MUSE E-100 Introduction to Museum Studies, the proseminar MUSE E-101 Graduate Research Methods and Scholarly Writing in Museum Studies, and a third applicable courses (chosen from the list on the Courses page) for graduate credit with grades of B or higher. These three courses count toward the ten courses required for the ALM in Museum Studies. Students who earn a grade below B in a proseminar are allowed to enroll in it only once again for ALM admission. Students are denied admission to the ALM Program if they fail to earn a grade of B after twice enrolling in the course. Those who remain in the course after the half-tuition refund period ends must count that as one of their attempts to pass the proseminar.
