Prerequisite Courses
To be admitted to the ALM in Information Technology, students must complete three ALM in IT courses (12 units) taken for graduate credit at Harvard Extension School or Harvard Summer School with B or higher grades. The three preliminary courses count toward the ten or twelve courses (40 or 48 units) required for the ALM in Information Technology. They must be chosen from the sets of required and elective courses listed on the Courses page and they may be completed via the Internet. (also see Distance Educaton) For the software engineering concentration, one of the three preliminary courses must be either CSCI E-124, CSCI E-207, CSCI E-300, or MATH E-118. If the preliminary courses were completed before the fall 2002 term, they may not count toward the degree. Students should consult the ALM in IT Office.
