Veterans Benefits

Eligible veterans may be entitled to educational benefits and should call their local Veterans Administration Office. For more information, students should call Student Financial Services at (617) 495-5850.

ID Cards and Privileges

Admitted degree, certificate, and diploma candidates who are registered for courses will receive Harvard Extension School photo ID cards. These ID cards provide access to Harvard libraries and other campus resources. The cards also allow students to purchase athletic privileges at the Athletic Department Ticket Office, Murr Center, 65 North Harvard Street, (617) 495-2211 or online; open Crimson Cash declining debit accounts and check listings at the Harvard Real Estate Housing Office.

ID cards do not provide access to the University Health Services or Pharmacy. Misusing an ID card, loaning the card to another student, or using another student's card may result in disciplinary action by the Administrative Board.

Harvard OnLine Library Information System (HOLLIS). Admitted degree, certificate, and diploma candidates are eligible for access to approximately 3,000 databases and journals that are available through the electronic resources of the Harvard OnLine Library Information System (HOLLIS). Access to HOLLIS from a computer outside a Harvard library requires a Harvard University PIN. PINs may be requested online.

Candidates should keep their Harvard University PINs confidential. They should note that the 7- or 8- digit Harvard University PIN is different from the 6-digit Extension School PIN and is not valid for access to Extension School online services.

Harvard Extension Student Association

The Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) is the umbrella organization for all students groups at the Harvard Extension School. HESA was founded in 2001, with the aim of building a student community and facilitating student-to-student connections through a website and numerous events and activities. The organization welcomes currently enrolled degree, certificate, diploma, and health careers candidates. More information about HESA, including events, a book exchange, and links to helpful resources is available on the HESA website.
