Requirements

• A candidate for a certificate must complete a total of eight certificate courses (32 units) with a grade of B- or higher in each course. Any course in which a candidate receives a grade lower than B- will not count toward the certificate.

• At least three courses (12 units) must be taken with Harvard-affiliated instructors.

• Candidates must complete these requirements in good standing within five years. The five-year period begins at the beginning of the semester in which students take their first certificate course. Under unusual circumstances students may apply for an extension, provided the request for an extension is submitted before the five-year limit expires.
